If you have feral cats coming around, PLEASE DO NOT FEED them. The only way we are going to be to get this problem under control is to trap them and take to a reliable shelter such as Pet Rescue by Judy, Save A Life Pet Rescue, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, Cat-Can, Inc, A New Beginning Pet rescue. It is not fair to these animals to be left out in the eliminates with no one to care for them. These feral cats are subject to disease, fleas, ticks and rabies and can pass these on to our domestic pets.
The reason that we are seeing so many ferals in the area is because they never get spayed or neutered and continue to multiply.
If you are aware of or see anyone dumping or abandoning (move out & leave animals behind) any animals please contact Seminole County Animal Control 407-665-5201 or the local non-emergency Oviedo PD 407-971-5700. It is against the law to abandon an animal in Florida!
