The Board of Directors has adopted the below resolution to postpone the annual meeting scheduled to take place in August 11, 2020. We will mail notice for the rescheduled annual meeting to be held at before the end of the year 2020.
BOARD RESOLUTION ON REGARDING ANNUAL MEETING DUE TO PANDEMIC
WHEREAS, On March 9, 2020, Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for the State of Florida via Executive Order (“EO”) 2020-52 in response to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). This state of emergency remains in effect pursuant to the extension issued by Governor DeSantis in EO 2020-114 on May 8, 2020, which activated the emergency powers in Section 720.316, Florida Statutes;
WHEREAS, On April 1, 2020, Governor DeSantis issued EO 2020-91, directing all senior citizens and individuals with a significant underlying medical condition to stay at home and take all measures to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19. EO 2020-91 also directed all persons in Florida to limit their movements and personal interactions outside of their home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services, or conduct essential activities.
WHEREAS, to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Association, owners and families, tenants, guests, agents and invitees, Florida Statute Section 720.316 empowers the Board of Directors to cancel and reschedule an association meeting.
NOW THEREFORE, it is resolved as follows:
- The aforementioned recitals are hereby incorporated and made a part of this Resolution as if more fully set forth herein.
- Given the rapidly changing nature of the pandemic outbreak, the Board of Directors hereby postpones the annual meeting to protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Association. The annual meeting will be rescheduled at such time and place that adherence to recommended guidelines can be confirmed.
This Resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors on the __2___ day of ____July__________, 2020 and is effective upon adoption. The meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was preceded by notice provided to each Unit Owner in advance of said meeting by U.S. electronic mail and by posting said notice conspicuously on the Property in advance of said meeting. An Affidavit attesting to such notice is kept amongst the official records of the Association.
