It’s another great year in the neighborhood when it comes to residents living within Alafaya Woods decorating their homes for the Holiday’s. The Holiday Light Decorating Committee reviewed all of the homes nominated by homeowners and toured the entire community viewing over 750 homes wonderfully decorated with Holiday lights. With an abundance of homes to choose from the Committee had a difficult time narrowing the selection down to the top four winners for 2019. And the winner is:
WINNER: 1019 Pegel Court:
2nd Place: 1022 Hornbeam Street:
3rd Place: 1007 Neely Street:
Honorable Mention: 1059 Corkwood Drive:
Best Decorated Street: Neely Street:
Very Special Act of Kindness: The Holiday Light Decorating Committee would also like applaud the kindness of Paul Collins & Drew Cheshire. These two residents not only demonstrated what it means to be “Good Neighbors” but also exhibited the true meaning of Christmas.
Residents on Neely Street had their own “Decorating Committee” this year, Paul and Drew. These two individuals volunteered to help their neighbors that were not physically able to climb ladders or get on rooftops to decorate their homes. Paul and Drew selflessly strung lights on the majority of homes on their street so that their street would be a joy and inspiration to the community. Truly neighbors helping neighbors.
The Holiday Light Decorating Committee would like to commend the winners from previous years that continue to do an outstanding job decorating year after year. But to be fair, past winners are only eligible to win again after three years.
Thanks to all that decorated their homes and Happy Holidays.
